Welcome!
I’m Christie Harrison, a Registered Provisional Psychologist in Red Deer, Alberta. I provide psychological assessment for ages 6 to young adult and therapy for teens, parents, individuals and couples.
My work is grounded in the belief that people make more meaningful progress when they feel understood. Whether a child is struggling at school, a young person is wondering about ADHD, or a parent is trying to make sense of their own
mental-health concerns, I aim to look beyond the presenting problem and understand the whole person.
In assessment, this means looking carefully at patterns of strengths and difficulties and considering the different factors that may be contributing to learning or attention concerns.
In therapy, it means creating a collaborative space where people can explore what is happening and develop practical ways forward.
I have more than 15 years of experience working in mental health and have a particular interest in attachment, mindfulness, perinatal mental health, and the many different ways people learn and function.
I’m also a mom of two, and I understand that real life is complicated. My approach is warm, genuine, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-informed practice.
